The best from Oirlich:

Hagen,
Who sold 'Federgrüner' FEDERSCHWINGEN  ?  - My friend asked me to look for these green petalled snowdrops ???   (Rudi Bauer?) - it seems I am a little bit white-green blind!

alt 148 : ö

We use QUERTY keybords, for German languages are QUERTZ keybords more useful.
I would like to use both.  :( :( ::)

' Federgrüner' FEDERSCHWINGEN    has an elegant form.... it appeals more to me than some of the greenish snowdrops.

ü  ö  ä Ä Ö  ö ü  Ü  à  á  â  ç  è  é  ê  ë  ñ  ô  ü .... Hagen, I keep such things near me since one never knows when they may be useful !  I cannot get my keyboard to respond to Luit's "code" nor to another code that I was given, so I copy and paste to acheive Chlöe, Göte and Ståle .... there is often a clue......

Are you using the key pad for the alt+digits??
The Portuguese keyboard is a QWERTY with ´`^~¨ separate from the actual letters - very useful for most Western (not Scandinavian or Central) European languages. Here are ã, Ã õ and Õ just in case you have to write some Portuguese one day, Maggi  :D

Being born in the steam age I just open a Word document and select symbol and then copy and paste.

Maggi you could try Ctrl+Alt , This is used at older keybords for the ASCI table.
I could copy this table for you if you want.

Just tried that, Luit.... but whichever code I type with Ctrl + Alt, all I get is a Euro sign.... but it does not work HERE !??!! I think it is easier to stick with copy and paste!

Chloë, thanks for the  ã, Ã õ and Õ !!

And without Ctrl, (only Alt) ??
I have a very cheap keybord from Sweex.
Oh, and I use American English, thought it is the same???

I meant that the Alt+code only works with the numbers from keypad and not with the numbers that run along the top of the keyboard - at least on a normal PC keyboard. And you have to make sure that NumLock is on.

Hi Maggi, I thought so, like you wrote (the ö) ;). I`m like you. I find the pastell green Flowers very fine. Often better then the intensive striped ones.

But I made  a mistake: I showed FEDERSCHWINGEN and not FEDERGRÜNER. ( Maggi would you change the picturename please? Please.

Gerd, Kurt is the owner of  FEDERSCHWINGEN.

Chloë, NOW I understand! Most of this pc and its bits and pieces are a complete mystery to me... thanks for your help. Now, to see if it works:                 Er, that would be a no!
Ah well, I tried :-[

Being born in the steam age I just open a Word document and select symbol and then copy and paste.

try this in Word:
press Ctrl, with the accent key together, then the letter.  For example, for á  press Ctrl  and hold while you
press  ΄ then a.
This method works for  è  ñ  ö  á  î  etc

If you need ¿  then it's right side Alt key and ?

But these are codes that only work in Word, they won't work in html, but you can paste them in from Word
