The Stirling Group has recently enjoyed a very successful visit to Gargunnock House - where they were  shown round by  the man in charge - Willie Campbell, SRGC stalwart and Rhododendron enthusiast - Willie is to be one of the Speakers at the SRGC Summer Event, of course - read Sandy Leven's report on the Group visit HERE

SRGC AGM - news of the Clark Memorial Lecture - approx. 2pm.

Info about the lecture at the AGM wasn't ready in time for inclusion with the journal mailing -  this news has just arrived from the President, David Rankin.

The speaker at the AGM  will be Pam Eveleigh, and her title will be:  "If I had a Million Dollars".

Pam says "Where would you travel to on a botanical trip if you had a spare $1,000,000, and why? Pam explores how state-of-the-art technology can be combined with historical information to find plants and to make a wish list of magical places to explore. And if you don’t have the money, how about using modern tools to connect with local people or other explorers who can visit those places?"

[ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Pam, from Calgary, Canada, is well travelled  and  known to SRGC members both for  her excellent website, "Primula World" and for the talks she has given as the SRGC Travelling Speaker.

It is fortunate that Pam was available to accept the invitation to speak at the 2016 AGM and this is a great  opportunity to hear her at Scone on 12th November!

Venue for AGM : Balformo Road, Scone PH2 6QX.
