Test Your Skill #2
« on: February 06, 2008, 07:20:23 PM »
Hi All

Maggie so enjoyed yesterdays 'Test Your Skill' competition that I thought I would start another for her to enjoy.

Today I was one of the lucky people to visit Glen Chantry, Essex.  The owners had set up a rather nice 'test tube' display in the tea and cake room (This was done especially for visitors in wheelchairs who could not easily negotiate the grass paths).  Below are some photos to test your skill (the answers have been forwarded to Maggie as I am sure she will enjoy teasing you more than me   ;D  )

regards

John

Again, can't see them all clearly, but think I can see Modern Art, Mrs Thompson, David Baker, Diggory, Trym, Grumpy, Lapwing, Bertram Anderson, John Tomlinson, Kite, Kildare, Gerard Parker, Walrus and Blewbury Tart.

Yes, all these are included.....but where? m

I might know eight or nine of these.... better wait till I get John's lists before iI start claiming to have cracked the white code, though!

Mystery solved, John's email was scooped in my spam filter.  So, now I am prepared with two photos of the two sets of snowies....just have to work out which direction the sets "read" ?????? Hurrumph! By george, I think I've got it.... ooh, er, yes, I CAN recognise some of these flowers!
I've got eight and almost nine! I award myself chocolate at once... the rest of you can get on with it!

Must be something that looks like it then. I'm pretty sure the rest of my list are right though. Anyhoo, I'm done. Too much paperwork stacked up to spend all evening staring at snowdrops on the screen again.  :-[

Is that your 'David Baker' in the bag in the background of photo #1?  ;D

Yes, I can see the camouflage too!  Presume it is John who is wielding camera so it must be his other half.

Snakey swirly thing had me wondering... so busy looking at the ruddy 'drops I hadn't seen ti at first... now I twig... John has made swirly overlays to edit out nearby 'drops to avoid confusion  8)
Anyhoo! Why are you still here, Martin... paperwork, remember?  ::)

Correct.  I realised afterwards it would have been nice if I had cleared the area for the photo!  At least it is in the photo that has 'David Baker' in it anyway.  ;)

Snakey thing - Maggi is correct.

Camos = Other half - sitting, drinking tea and eating his third piece of cake!  ::)

Now there's a man after my own heart! If cake is halfway decent it takes three slices to form considered opinion. 8)
