Galanthus transcaucasicus
« on: February 02, 2008, 02:52:53 PM »
Hi ,

here a pics of G.transcaucasicus ( ex Talysch Mts. / Azerbayjan )

The first plants are correct named as G. transcaucasicus

The second I have received as G. artjuschenkoae .....after one year I could see that this name was wrong -it is also a G. transcaucasicus ......the funny was both plants are from the same seller and the wrong named plant was much more expensiv .....

But the wrongly-named and more expensive plant is also a very nice-looking plant.

They look small enough to plant in a trough. What height are they?

Very fine, short, fat plants... just lovely. Most interesting to see these caucasicus and transcaucasicus true from Hans.

Hans, my gardentime is over for today. Since now I have some computertime.
Yes there were two worlds before 1989. Also in the world of plants. Now I look into this forum and get always an answer, I hope.
