My seeds arrived today.  All first choices.  Many thanks to the Seed Distribution Team (and the donors).
Won't get them sown today.  It is so windy I wouldn't feel safe in the greenhouse.

68th SRGC Seed Exchange - note re Identification of 5387
« Reply #92 on: January 16, 2015, 11:18:36 AM »
Note re SRGC Seed List # 5387

Saxifraga Identification -

We are told that a donor has misidentified a saxifraga species of  seeds sent to the seed exchange.

# 5387 is not Saxifraga diapensioides ( as listed)  but Saxifraga caesia   (same as 5386)

He apologises for any disappointment for those who have ordered  #5387 for the mistake in naming.

Many thanks to  the Donor for this information

Mine also arrived yesterday. Very pleased with about 3/4 first choices. Thanks all for the sterling work.

We had some help today from the horticulture students at Threave.

We took another 2 sacks of orders to the post office.  Still more to do, please be patient if you are waiting for your seeds!

Note from the Seed Team of the 68th SRGC Seed Exchange 2014-2015
« Reply #96 on: January 17, 2015, 09:03:26 PM »
From the  SRGC Seed Distribution Team:

The 2014-15 Seed Distribution Deadline has passed.

Thank you to everyone who contributed seed, packed it and then ordered it.   The requests have been processed in the usual sequence of donors, non-donors and surplus and should be completed by 21 January.    Please be patient when awaiting your treasured seeds; the franking machine has a mind of its own and has led to delays in the posting of some packets.

Members of the SW Scotland group have come out in force, with assistance from Edinburgh and Ayr, battling through storm force winds, rain, snow and ice to carry out such invaluable work.   The lure of the tea, coffee, cakes, biscuits and social occasion no doubt!   Huge thanks to them for all their concentration, staying power, attention to detail and humour.

Forgot to say that I wanted to make a note of special thanks to whoever donated the seeds of Narcissus bulbocodium pallidus (#2802), which has been on my wish list for some time and I was VERY pleased to receive this year.  Thank you, thank you! ;D

Just back from a week in the Lake District (much walking), with no internet access. 83 emails from SRGC to read and a package of seeds - that's next week sorted. Many thanks.

Seeds have arrived. First time doing this so very excited. All first choices, apart from Cyclamen coum kuznetzovii, which I guess was a case of sort supply and a high demand. But thank you, very very pleased.
