Crocus moabiticus
« on: August 16, 2014, 06:58:19 PM »
An ambitious one - but why not!

Does anybody know of a source of seed or plants? I have decided that I have been too long without this gorgeous rarity....

If anybody feels so inclined, I do have a number of potential choice swaps in the way of Crocus, Frits, Irises and Corydalis; also probably some nice Pleiones a bit later in the year.

Thanks for any help.

Cheers,

Alex

Silence is a bit deafening isn't it? Doesn't often happen here.
I was hoping for a useful answer too...... :)

Well, if it's any consolation Alex - I have seen it in the flesh twice (in the UK) & thought it  a miserable thing,  like a very poor form of C. cartwrightianus.
Gerry passed away  at home  on 25th February 2021 - his posts are  left  in the  forum in memory of him.
His was a long life - lived well.
