David Mowle of Hest Bank has passed away. David was very well known in the Club for his talks, writing and attendance at all manner of SRGC and AGS activities. Particularly known for his love of androsace and crocus his enthusiasm for the study and observation of his plants gave him great insight into the needs of the plants and so their successful cultivation.
David was predeceased by his wife Jean in 2011. He and Jean were active in many local organisations and will be sorely missed in the Hest Bank community as well as by his many friends in our club. Our sincere condolences are sent to the family of David, his children and grandchildren especially at this sad time.
David's funeral service will be on 26th August at 14.00hrs at St Luke's Church, Slyne with Hest, Shady Lane, Slyne, Lancaster LA2 6JG
