Hi Alan the show at diss might be better for me to attend, it's not far for me, only an hour or so in the car. I've heard of Shaftesbury, not sure where it is though.

...the show at diss .... only an hour or so in the car.

If you're really in Toynton St. Peter then the Diss show is about 100 miles away and Google maps thinks the journey would take you about 2.5 hours.

(The actual nursery is a 15 minute drive beyond Diss.)

Indisputably, John.  But I was concerned that your over-optimistic view of how long it might take you to get to Blacksmiths Cottage Nursery would cause you to arrive very late should you decide to go.

In its heyday, the Galanthus Gala would attract coach parties from Germany and The Netherlands so some galanthophiles are prepared to travel very long distances in the hope of seeing or buying some rare snowdrop.

Yay, yay and thrice yay.  Now you just need to let the Germans know that if they don't bring their coach to Shaftesbury as well, then the Dutch will get the pick of all the best snowdrops!

We are getting it all sorted for Shaftesbury at the moment . We hope it will be better than last year , for a start we have got the big town hall for the sale. We have two speakers lined up .
