Everythings coming at once.
« on: May 21, 2014, 07:24:40 PM »
Just taken a quick flip around the garden over the last couple of days.  The weather has been glorious but everything is moving so fast and coming out at once.

Achillea and Erodium in the front.

My favourites the Horminum which used just to be white but now has some of the original alongside.

A very dwarf Hypericum from Aberconwy and a Junellia nova sp. also from Aberconwy.

The lovely Leiophyllum which got a first at Southport.  Luetkia pectinata which is very dwarf.  A Martagon lily which we bought at last years Dunblane Summer event.  I have found 7 of the dreaded Lily beetles on it this week, so it has been Bug Gunned to within an inch of it's life.

A mossy Sax still in full flower and the tree Peony High Noon.

Two lovely Phlox and a wonderful Ramonda myconi.

The Rhodohypoxis were on the bench at Southport a full month before they were last year when they made Pontefract.

The Solomons Seal is next to the Martagon so I've been checking that for the Lily beetles as well.

Finally 2 views looking across the back garden.

That's a super lush and colourful display, Shelagh.

And look on the bright side - if the weather stays nice it  will be more comfortable for you to camp out in the garden to keep the lily beetles at bay!

Very nice to see your garden Shelagh.

I've grown High Noon in the past, it is a lovely peony. My brother has it now & is putting on a lovely show.
