Early Spring in Botanical Garden Tuebingen
« on: March 17, 2014, 08:53:18 PM »
Last week we visited Tuebingen. It was rather early and there were not so many flowers
outside, but the old group of bamboos is always so impressive to me.
Absolutely attractive (like ever) were the Dionysias in the Alpine House and the Propagation
Beds.

Dionysia Nr.3 is a new hybrid, raised in Tuebingen with unusual colours.

I can see why you enjoy visiting there! Those bamboos are impressive indeed - and I like the Dionysias with their very own ventilators...

Tuebingen's alpine house is always an inspiration - great see the work continuing.

Rudi,
Thank you for this interesting report! When looking at the Dionysias it is encouraging
that it seems that the tradition of specialized knowledge in plantcultivation continues.
