11:45 (British Summer Time): Lecture “Liliaceae: Jewels of the North” by Chris Gardner

​Chris is the co-owner of Viranatura tours and leads botanical and wildlife tours all over the World. He will give us a kind of travelogue overlain with lots of facts that trace the key centres for Fritillaria, Lilium, Tulipa and Calochortus, their climates, etc, differences in each region, why that is, geology, etc. He will move through the Med onto Central Asia, thence China, and then leap to California.
