Coming to the end now -

Iris rosenbachiana - a  purply form

Crocus etruscus-  I loved this!

And the tease for the Croconuts........  I didn't know who "grew" these.... thanks to Stan for letting us know it was David and Magaret Thorne!  I think a few of the visitors wondered what on earth this was about!

More than two dozen of us joined the coach trip  to attend the  event  from the Aberdeen area - thanks to them all for their support -   I think we all had a great day!

Well, of COURSE Gerard  is Dutch - I just love it when you guys are paying attention ! ;D

So many chums from the VRV that I get my LowLanders confused at times!
My apologies to the proud Dutchman, Gerard Oud!

You'd think I would remember where Gerard comes from  - and the day before there had been a coachload of Dutch visitors at Snowdrop Day- there's often a clue!

The light was not very good in the hall at Dunblane yesterday and I tend to use the camera on auto most of the time but here are a few more pics.  Nothing new.
Crocus etruscus which was open in the morning but closed later even though the other crocuses were still open

Your right, that isn't Sophie North.  It looks more like one of the Greatorex doubles.  Here are three pictures of the true plant.  Never mind the flowers, look at the leaves!

Crikey Alan, you've got Sophie North growing well there - she's never taken off here in Aberdeen, though I think Angie has her in a good clump a couple of miles away.

I have never found Sophie North to be a good doer outside.  These have been grown for many years under glass in a plunge bed filled with a leafy compost.  They are only in the pots temporarily, I don't think snowdrops like living in a pot.  They are going back into the plunge later once I have rejuvinated the compost in the plunge.
