Title: Nerine 'Glacier'
Post by: brianw on October 23, 2012, 06:57:40 PM
I bought Nerine 'Glacier' at the RHS London show today. A very strong grower, largish white flowers with a hint of green. 2 Flower stems in the pot. The seller was not sure about hardiness as so new. Anyone know how hard I can treat it? N. Zeal Giant survives for me in pots, sheltered outside, or do I treat this as N. sarniensis, under glass?

My guess is it's a N. sarniensis so not much frost. Mine were ok outside for years until winter 2010

I agree with Mark. I think most of the Nerine hybrids are based on N. sarniensis

Sound lovely Brian.
Knowing my experience with freezing assorted nerines, I'd err on the side of caution!
