I just spotted this unexpected flash of colour today.

Not out of season here but I am thrilled with two beautiful plants of Mec. quintuplinervia in flower now, no credit to me as I bought them just this last weekend (16th). I've cross pollinated but I suspect they will be divisions from the same plant as their supplier says they do very well in her garden. They won't, here in my dry but they are large-potted for now and in full shade and damp.
