Just sat down to read the forum and thought I was going to see some nice pictures from the above event which was held in August (8th month) but see it is yet to come in September (9th month).

(Sorry Maggi :P)

Late Bulb Day today.... and guess who had no camera? Ooops!
Actually, the display was somewhat sparse: a selelction of Cyclamen all looking good, hederifolium, graecum, mirabile etc.... and about half a dozen assorted others.......only one I can bring to mind at the minute is Sarracenia purpurea from Californian seed. Lovely healthy little plant with quite a few pitchers in top condition and a super flower. Something yellow in the Hypoxidaceae, an Oxalis refusing to open.....I'll work on the others, but without pix it is sad......SORRY!
Talks from John Mitchell were enjoyed....good to hear about his Iranian trips since he is keen to get an 'Iranian Meadow' established at RBG Edinburgh and we were able to visualise that nicely. Virtual visits to China and elsewhere....and all before lunch! Even a pic of John with a pretty large panda cub on his knee...very cute.... both of 'em!
John also showed us some of the latest additions to the alpine department at RBGE as well as some  archive shots of "the old days" which were very interesting.

.....cakes were good, really yummy blueberry muffins!
