Arnold would that be the Welsh Poppy we pull out by the dozen as an invasive weed?
-
Shelagh:
It is, and I try to encourage it where I can. Collect the seed capsules and broadcast it around. It does suffer during our hot months but bounces back in fall when the temps cool.
If global warming is coming you may be in the same boat!

I regret bring seeds to my garden. They are under control now

It depends upon where you live. In my place it is not very invasive.

My sapporo is situated in latitude N 43, in the north of Japan.
Mec. cambrica grows well in semi-shade place, but not grow
in sunny place.
It seems to be that "Muriel Brown" is not so strong than yellow one,
Anyway, they are not so invasive in Japan.
