Alessandro, I doubt it is endemic, it is widespread in our forests.

Vert pretty though. We almost never see these in a bulb list or even a seedlist.

Last year in April I was given some tiny bulbs by Austrian relatives.
They just told me they were flowering yellow and growing in their meadow.
I had an idea of Gagea, but was not sure.
Now they are flowering with me.

Maggi, I have no idea. I received a pot full two years ago from Mr. Connoisseur.
Cannot find a label, so will have to ask when flowering.
But I remember it being probably a hybrid?
Did not see flowers last year, but now it's a carpet already??

He may have it as an E. americanum x umbilicatum.... we just call it the proliferating americanum .... it can cover the ground faster than an elite athlete ::) Often VERY reluctant to flower :(

Alessandro, this probably cannot be, because Gagea spathacea is in Austria only
in Southern Burgenland and rare.
My plant comes from Salzburg/Styria
