Title: Romulea identification

This is a Romulea from the cedar forest in Morocco. I found in this link a photo of the wild plant http://homepage.mac.com/jmdelacre/PhotoAlbum33.html but with no more identification.

Do you have a specialist of this genus ?

A quick look at the reference books and only two species are listed for Mediteranean area which might include your species.  These are R bulbocodium and R columnae.  The first one is larger and quite commonly grown.  I'll try and find a picture or two.

BTW - the pic of Iris sisyrinchium on the same page as the link that you posted is quite amazing!

Actually I think it's another taxon.
There is historical publications about romuleas of Morocco, but I may not read them.
This plant has very large flowers, very different in size than R. bulbocodium. Moreover, I don't know the precise definition of R. columnae, but I have a strain from Montenegro smaller and shorter than this plant.
Then, I'll keep the name Romulea sp. Ex Forêt de Cèdres, Maroc  ;)

G. sisyrinchium has a very large distribution and quite variable.

The above flower is Romulea columnae, which is found in North Africa.
