Corydalis solida 'Merlin'

Corydalis solida has been in full flower now the past week. :)
Last year there was an interesting self sown seedling with blue lips and I moved it to a separate bed, and it is now flowering (the first picture).
This year I have found two more blueish seedlings, though the first one is the best. They all look like C.solida, so it is nice to see that even this colour can come up spontaneously.
The last picture is of a white seedling which also has blueish tint, but not so much as the three others.

Leena, it is a beautiful color palette, and also very relaxing to sit there with only the sounds of birds and bumblebees.

Thank you Herman, I'm happy that you enjoyed it. Garden is full of birdsong this time of year, and bumblebees so all the hybridizing, so I just enjoy the results. :)
Leena, these variations in blue are magnficent, congratulations!
Mariette, I am so pleased with these blue ones :), and they just came up by surprise. I will move all (later in May) to a very good spot where there is no others very close, and hopefully they will hybridize with each other in the future (though bees fly so it is always a surprise what comes) and also increase by corms.
The only blue species I have flowering now is C.fumariifolia ssp azurea, this picture is from week ago. C.turtschaninowii is just coming up and will be flowering in maybe two weeks time.

Very nice blue ones Leena! Maybe a bit of hybridizations involved? but they look like C. solida indeed.
I very much enjoyed the video :) so much color and with the bumblebees and all the birds song, all is so much a spring expression.

I was thinking the same, but they look like solida and all my other blue Corydalis flower so much later..

Corydalis cava coming up among Paeonia obovata (too much Allium ursinum in the background).
Second picture is also C.cava, then C.bracteata 'Marina' which grows well in my garden and I like its soft yellow very much.
Last picture Corydalis 'Cherry Lady', a sterile hybrid C.kusnetzovii x solida and very pretty. It is slightly later flowering than most of my C.solidas. Erythronium sibiricum in the left corner.

Corydalis nobilis is already flowering now, two weeks earlier than last year. It is a big and tall plant.
Second picture there is Corydalis marschalliana and Tulipa 'Ice Stick'

The flower heads on C. nobilis are very atypical for the genus. Beautiful well-grown plants!

Yes, C.nobilis looks different, also it doesn't have a bulb but different kind of root though it goes dormant after flowering.

Many years ago I bought Corydalis solida ´Penza Strain´. Two of the plants looked different from C. solida - any ideas what it is?

Might be Corydalis glaucescens, or a hybrid between the two?

Thank You for Your suggestion, arisaema! The entire bracts would match perfectly, as do the loose racemes. Unfortunately, I never noticed any seedlings over many years. In the green-house, another form of C. glaucescens is flowering, so I may compare them tommorrow. :)
