Title: Fritillaria meleagris
Post by: grenadier on March 25, 2022, 09:34:04 PM
Is it possible to move fritillaria meleagris whilst in flower. I have quite a few in my garden and will be moving very shortly and would like to take some of them with me.

Since it is sold as a Spring-planted bulb, I would think you could probably move it safely.
Wrap the bulbs and roots in damp paper towels. At worst you might loose bloom for a year or two.
You are not likely to kill them.  And you will probably not loose any bloom seasons.
