SRGC Discussion Day - A series of talks is planned for Saturday 9th October 2021
This online FREE event is designed as a replacement for the annual residential SRGC Discussion Weekend which we regret has been cancelled as a result of the Covid pandemic. We are organising a series of 3 lectures given online using Zoom. :)
Speakers will be - Nick Courtens from USA on "Creating the Caucasus Crevice Garden"

- Jim Jermyn of Branklyn Garden on "European Alpines in Nature - A New Look"
[attachimg=2]
- Hamish Brown from New Zealand on "In the Southern Alps with Steve Newall"

The speakers are all lined up and ready to go now, all we need is the audience to remember to attend.
In Scotland at least, the weather is likely to be pretty wet, so there will be nothing better to do on a wet Saturday sfternoon and evening than watch some great plant pictures and views of places around the world whiich we find difficult to visit just now. Even those with something to do on Saturday afternoon could hopefully join in for Hamish's talk in the evening at 7pm BST.
As Maggi says, I hope to see see you there!

Many thanks Maggi, Richard, the speakers and all involved.
It's a wonderful chance too for overseas forumists to participate in a great SRGC event.

Thoroughly enjoyed the three talks today - felt moved to make a donation on srgc.net in gratitude! Many thanks to the excellent speakers, Nick Courtens, Jim Jermyn and Hamish Brown, and the organisers for their tremendous efforts to entertain us so royally!
It is really lovely to be able to catch up with far-flung friends as well as enjoying three of the best talks I've heard in ages. ( And I'm VERY fussy!!)

We are really glad that everyone enjoyed it, as well as hopefully learning something too!
