If you read the International Rock Gardener then every year or two you will find an article by Wim Boens; in fact there is one in the latest edition. I marvel at both the breadth and depth of his expertise and from my perspective he is frighteningly young too. Now there will be a rare opportunity to hear him speak, by virtue of Zoom. His talk is entitled "Snowdrop's Companions! Bringing some REAL colour to the winter garden" and it will take place at 14:30 on Saturday 13th February. The cost is £4, the talk is open to all and it is being organised by Plant Heritage. You can book here: https://www.plantheritage.org.uk/events/north-east/wim-boens-snowdrops-companions/
Wim writes: "During this 1h long talk, I’ll be focusing on two of my favourite genera (Eranthis and Leucojum), but I’ll discuss many other Winter and Spring flowers which combine well with Galanthus too."
Do please join us.
