Title: Looking for Eryngium glaciale
Post by: Brian & Kathy Pike on November 08, 2020, 06:06:32 PM
Hi everyone. Hoping someone here can help us out!

We were awarded National Collection status for our collection of eryngiums (sea hollies) earlier this year (our site is at http://eryngiums.com) but we're still looking for Eryngium glaciale. We're sure someone out there is growing it, but we can't track it down!

Yes there's a supplier listed in the RHS Plant Finder, but they no longer list it on their website. We've tried all the alpine nurseries we can find, but no luck.

This summer hasn't been particularly good for seed-setting, eryngium-wise, but even if you can't help out this year, we would appreciate knowing if you are growing it and might be able to offer seeds, divisions or cuttings in future.

By the way, if you're interested in sea hollies, we have a Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/725244401347246
Thanks!

Congrats on the  National Collection Status - I  added  a  link to the  SRGC links  pages in August.

Thanks Maggi, hadn't noticed that - much appreciated!
