Title: Hexham Spring Show - AGS/SRGC - Hexham 28th March 2020
Post by: Maggi Young on March 09, 2020, 04:10:36 PM
This  year the  show  is  under  SRGC rules.##
Show  Secretary  Angus  Thompson tells  us ... " We are progressing with the planning for the show and at this time the show will proceed. The arrangements are exactly the same as 2019 - with the same venue and car parking arrangements.
However - if the corona virus escalates over the next 2 weeks we will seek guidance and advice from the authorities and Martin Rogerson the AGS national show secretary will advise whether we proceed."

The  Show was  cancelled as  a result  of  corona virus crisis

##  Cliff Booker  will be  hoping to repeat  his  Farrer Medal winning success  last  year  with a  Forrest  Medal this  year! Good  luck to Cliff  and  all the  exhibitors!

We should be busy at Hexham now, the hall would shortly close for judging. I don't know everything I would take, but I almost always take a lot of Primula henrici. I would almost certainly have dug up this Primula elatior from the garden. I think there would have been a few of these Corydalis. - Frodo or Beth Evens or one of the other solida.

Doubtless there would be a few others, Juno Iris, Primula allionii hybrids etc., but these will do for now.
