Hans, have you tried Crug Plants in Wales. They have Geranium erianthum listed as well as a small number of erianthum cultivars.

Hi David ,
many thanks for your help
Yes - I have seen this plant on Crug Farm
The problem for me is ordering plants from UK ...they are mostly pretty long time underway ...so I have no hope
Also has Crug pretty expensiv shipping charges ...
If I could buy it there direct in the nursery ...
On the RHS plant finder are 3 mail order nurseries :
Larch,Crug + Macplants .... :'(
best wishes

Try Plant World Seeds or Yuzawa Engei, the latter has seeds with a known location:

Hi Hans,
As arisaema said, Yuzawa Engei have seeds and their seeds are top quality. I have already bought seeds of G. erianthum from them and I still have 4 plants. They don't grow very fast because the place is too dry for them but one is big enough to be divided. If you are interested, PM or mail me ;)
I've also tried G. onoei from Yuzawa Engei but I've got only one seedling this spring and it is really too small...

Hi Hans,
Not sure if you got your seed from Japan yet. That said I actually collected Geranium erianthum this year on the south Slope of the Alaska Range 30 miles west of Paxson in Alaska if you are interested. I would be happy to send you seed if you like.
