Yes, Hans, a pleasant trip to the mountains and the narcissus with you and Barbara, thank you for taking us along!
-
Nice scenery and good plants don't necessarilly have to be in remote, far away places Hans ! Thank you for reminding us !
Beautiful show !
-
A lovely trip, thanks Hans.
-
Was that ice-cream or goat's cheese?
-
Lesley :
it is Fromage Blance ( fresh cheese ) made from cow milk,
pouring with cream , sugar and Kirsch ( Eau de vin from cerise )
.....this is one of the famous desserts of this area !
All this "Ferme's" in the mountains produce "Fromage de Munster" in the summer months -the Framage Blanc is the fresh form of it .
-
Lovely. My mouth is watering. :P
-
Anthony :
What you mean ?
Narcissus - Cheese - Kirsch ;D
-
Your picture 4 Hans in your second batch shows exactly my kind of walking ;D
-
David :
In Bavaria we have a nice proverb :
"Die Berge von unten,
die Kirchen von außen
und die Wirtschaften von innen" ;D
maybe Maggi can translate it .....

David, I would translate Hans' proverb like this:
"The mountains from below
The church from the outside
And the restaurants from the inside"
-
;D Thomas ;D
Thank you for your perfect translation !
-
Thank you Thomas, that's not a bad philosophy for life really, all it lacks is some fine sounding word for Hans' glass of beer! ;D
-
David ,
I'm glad that you like my proverb ;D
::) it seems Thomas is knowing also this philosophy.... :o
OK -maybe we could make one day a meeting in the french mountains 8)
-
Perhaps you could translate it as -
The mountains to feed the eyes,
the churches to feed the spirit,
and the restaurants to feed the tummy. ;D
-
Sorry Lesley ;)
but you are wrong -this is not bavarian style
we prefer more to sit in a restaurant ( and drinking beer ) than to climb on the mountains and to go in the churches :P
ask Otto !!!
-
I'm a Bavarian in spirit ;D
