Scadoxus multiflorus - once it decides it is going to flower it opens really quickly, from first breaking the soil to full flower in less than a week.

New acquisition, so all I've done is put it in a pot of multi-purpose/JI mixed, watered a couple of times and stood back. It will need protection from frost.

The Nerine and Amaryllid Society have collection holder Jonathan Hutchinson speaking at their AGM in November so I plan on going along to learn more...
