Thanks for the friendly comment, Dionysias are simply irresistible. Their habit
and the profuse flowering early in the year reward all the extra treatment they
need for a good growing.

Hello to all alpine enthusiasts,

a bit late, but here are some pictures of Dionysia afghanica GW/H1308 (the only wild collected D. afghanica clone in culture), which flowered nice this year. The plant is situated in our alpinehouse on the tufa wall, in a shaded place.

...and the same plant on 22 February 2019.

At the moment there are still a lot of Dionysias in flower, pictures will follow.

The Dionysia afghanica is great. Much more spectacular than my Dionysia tapetodes. I'm looking forward to the next pictures.

Thanks, Rudi and Michael,
These exquisite plants are beyond our capabilities here in Central Victoria so it’s great to see these pics.
Nice memories of the last Czech RG conference - looking forward to the next one  ;D

Fermi, thank you for your kind comment. We are also always interested in your plants and the reports
about the exotic animal visitors in your garden, simply another world for us. Please keep on the good work.
The Conferences, arranged by our Czech rockgarden friends are deeply in our memories, a lot of work
for all the staff and an unforgetable time for us.

Wonderful plants.

Dionysia involucrata at The National BG, Glasnevin, came from Tübingen according to the label.
