Cathy Caudwell comments:
"Our first meeting for the new season is on Tuesday September 4th when David Millward of the Edinburgh Group of the SRGC will be speaking on "Rock Plants for a Geologist". This will be about David's approach to Rock Gardening and highlight some of his favourite plants.

We have an excellent programme planned, with speakers this autumn including Elspeth MacKintosh from the Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh talking about their new (ish) alpine areas, Michael Almond of the Angus Group taking us to the Gargano Peninula Italy and our own member, Richard Brinklow on his trip to Bhutan."

The Perth Convener’s post is vacant at the moment – great thanks are due to retiring Convenor Susan Band for her years of service

Convenor and Show Secretary John Lee has "retired" after many years in post - the new Convenor is Alison Ward and the Glasgow Show Secretary will be Richard Green.

Meetings are held on Wednesdays from 2-4pm at Bowden Village Hall near Newtown St Boswells : entry is £2 per person which includes talk, refreshments, raffle, members’ spare plants for sale & library.

Non SRGC members & guests are welcome.

SRGC members are not automatically enrolled as members of their nearest local group. Members can inform the SRGC if they wish their details to be passed to a local group. It is left to SRGC members to contact any group they wish to support in their locale, this is in keeping with recent GDPR regulations.

Members and guests are, of course, welcome at all the local groups.
