As many of you knew or at least knew of Michael this might be of interest.
A new species of Dimorphanthera in the Ericaceae had been named after him. Dimorphanthera wickendeniana from Indonesian was recently described in Sibbaldia vol. 15 by George Argent.
The plant was collected by Michael in 1993 and has been growing in Living Collection at Edinburgh since 1994 and was only recently recognised as something new.
https://journals.rbge.org.uk/index.php/rbgesib/article/download/229/182 (https://journals.rbge.org.uk/index.php/rbgesib/article/download/229/182) its an openaccess article (everything is in sibbaldia) so you can have a read.

Well, that's nice, he was a real plantsman.

A charming reminder of Michael Wickenden - if something of a tongue-twister. Thanks for the note, Alan!
