Title: Feeding my plants
Post by: Madeleine on March 02, 2017, 06:33:32 PM
I'm relatively new to growing plants under glass and at the moment have Hepatica, Meconopsis and auricula in my unheated frame.

The Auricula have some slow release osmocote in their compost.  The Meconopsis have some blood and bone mixed in with the potting on medium.

The article I've read about feeding my Hepatica calls for a dilute general purpose liquid fertiliser with extra magnesium.

I wonder if anyone can give me some advice on what to use.  How dilute?

What do you use to feed your alpines?

Welcome, Madeleine!

Michael J. Campbell, who grows great hepaticas, repeated, just the other week, the  advice from a Wisley Log  ...... see  it here :  http://www.srgc.net/forum/index.php?topic=15100.msg371177#msg371177 (http://www.srgc.net/forum/index.php?topic=15100.msg371177#msg371177)

Thanks for that link Maggi - I was just looking at my hepaticas and wishing they looked happier.
