Title: Eucrosia 2009
Post by: Alberto on March 01, 2008, 04:04:37 PM
Hi all, this is another unusual bulb, and it flowered with me for the first time this year. Maybe it is not so fine but de gustibus. Unlike Cyrtanthus it spent 4 months dry but in a warm place (15°C by night, 20-25 by day). It has to be considered a xerophytic bulb. I do not know the name of the species and if anyone could help me in identify it I'd be very grateful.

Hi all, an update. Thank you to the informations of Aaron and the turning of colour of my plant, I can identify this species as  Eucrosia aurantiaca. After two days, the tepals have become yellow!

Hello!

Here is my Cyrtanthus. Any idea which species? The colour on the pictures is not true, the flowers are more deep blood-red.

Mike, it looks about the shape for C. brachyscyphus..... not the right shape for the mackenii, at least not from the angles in the picture anyway?
