Title: Unknown plant
Post by: Joakim B on December 28, 2006, 02:07:10 AM
Dear all I saw a nice plant in my mother-in-laws place in Portugal and now I wonder what it is.
I presume it is a bulb/rhizom but I have not checked.
The flower came in October and boomed in November and lasted untill December when it had seeds.
It is only 10-15cm of foliage and 25-35cm of stems.
I post two pics one of the plant and the other a closeup of the flower.
Sorry for the poor quality it was windy when I took the pics so I did not get them as good as I should :(

Hope someone knows what it is even if it might not be an "alpine"

Kind regards
Joakim

Nerine?  There are some species with narrow petals - like N.laticoma
You can see a picture at    www.plantzafrica.com
