On 20-22th Feb 2015, a hepatica show is held at the Ueno Green Club in Tokyo, JP. I visited the show on 20th Feb.
Here are some pictures. Sorry for their bad quality. I had to use a smartphone camera because I forgot to put the battery in my digital camera :-[
I post pictures first and add some description later if necessary ;)

Exibit hepaticas
Awarded plants are displayed with vases or dishes (depends on its prize) instead of medals.

Exibit hepaticas
Name of the flowers in pictures with original file numbers are uncertain. I forgot to check their names. Perhaps some of them are unnamed seedlings.

Amazing. A bit more colourful than snowdrop sales ;D

What a great day out, Tatsuo. I'm always amazed at the variety of flower form and colour in Hepatica. Some of them are beautiful, and others are truly bizarre. Some of the simpler ones are my favourites: 'Tou-kou' with it's delicate two-tone petals and 'unnamed 01' in palest yellow. However, I also like the more intricate centres of 'Yume-hanabi' and 'Ai-no-sanka'. There are so many plants for sale on the shop floor, as well as everything you could need to grow them. Did you come home with any new plants?
-
Thank you so much for sharing your day out, Tatsuo. Wonderful plants...that sales floor would be very unhealthy for my wallet I think... ;)
-
I'm absolutely blown away YT. I had no idea that these colours existed in Hepatica. I love the green in Items for sale 18. I'll be reading up on this little genus later tonight. :)

Wonderful to see this Tatsuo. Thank you.

Wow! What a fantastic photo report - astonishing for me to see the variety in these little plants. I begin to find them all fascinating- even the "crazier" forms!
For the exhibition they are all so beautifully presented - a delight to see and makes the show very attractive- even before those fabulous ceramics are added.
Thank you so much for sharing, Tatsuo - you have given us a real treat.
-
Wonderful to see this Tatsuo. Thank you. Here in Belgium we can only dream about this!

Amazing, what more can you say.

Fantastic, Tatsuo - oh, to be there with a full purse. I wonder how much the beautiful yellow was?
-
Thank you for the all comments :)
I didn't came home with any hepaticas this year. I don't have any hepaticas now. My place is rather hot for growing hepaticas :(
Fantastic, Tatsuo - oh, to be there with a full purse. I wonder how much the beautiful yellow was?
This yellow was labeled as JPY10,000-. I thought the price is rather inexpensive. The other yellows were not for sale.
-
Beautiful!
-
Thank goodness that they are not within reach !!!
Here are a few I snatched the other day. Please forgive the distracting surrounds.

Tatsou, thank you for the photos from the hepatica show. The variation in hepatica flowers is amazing.

WOW what fantastic pictures of such a show the Hepaticas yes I would love them all but seeing the long numbers on the plants which were probably prices anyway Cyril and I visited John Massey at Ashwoods nurseries where we spent several hours in awe at his Hepatica collection his new lady assistant Samantha looked after us as well, a few pictures, we also had a quick walk round John's garden, cheers Ian the Christie kind.

Thank you for showing Tatsuo.
I might have succumbed for that yellow. Just as well these plants are not available here.
-
Ian thanks for sharing these photos of Ashwoods, i'm always surprised John put the pots directly on the cedar without protection such a tray. I own a greenhouse from the same manufacturer and i'll not be so reckless with the wood. How does he water the pots?
-
Hi Ian thanks for showing the photo's from your visit to aswood's, I was there myself earlier in the year, it's hepatica & Galanthus heaven. I came away with two new hepaticas and a couple of auriculas which ashwoods also grow very well.
-
Hello, John spends hours with a slow running hose and lets water run around the rim avoiding plants if possible, this man is so dedicated to his plants and yes I would have an edge to the bench some hepaticas sit on saucers full of chippings other just on the wood, cheers Ian the Christie kind

A glorious symphony of colour and shape - thank you, Tatsuo
And thanks, Ian, for sharing John Massey's treasures.
