Title: Color variation in Puschkinia scilloides?

Brand new to the forum, and not a bulb specialist, so my notes may be a bit daft.

Are there any wholly blue varieties of this bulb known?  I ask because, while roving my yard this Spring, I noticed a flower of what I took to be a weird color of Scilla siberica, but turned out to be a Puschkinia with much more blue on it than usual, not a particularly good blue but fairly intense.  Only the very thin edges of the petals were uncolored.  I selfed it (tried at least) and collected the ripened seed later to see what they would do.

These small blues are a mystery to me  - and when the Royal Horticultural Society had a trail of them they were collectively just known as "small blue bulbs" - so I think others have problems with them too  ;)

I would be inclined to suspect that there is some other blood in your blues and that they are hybrids to have such a colour.  Do you think that is possible ?
It will be interesting to see what happens with the seedlings.
