I'm told that because the UK has been an island since the last ice age we have a very limited range of wild flowers here. Perhaps that's what makes many of us keen gardeners? But how wonderful it would be to have so many gorgeous wild flowers in spring. I'd never be home.

The picture that captured my imagination was the forest floor covered in Corydalis.

It has been said before but bears saying again - most of us will never experience such a trip to see this fantastic variation of plants in situ and we must be so grateful for Dima for sharing with us so that we can realise the diversity that exists in such areas.

Caucasus, and especially to delimitate G. angustifolius and G. caucasicus (now G. alpinus) in those area. We've visited 5 loci in Stavropol and Kabardino-Balkaria territories.
