A Christmas treat, H. japonica 'Ten sei', it even has a lovely scent. I'm afraid my very basic digital camera does not do justice to the exquisite picotee edging to the tepals, violet on the green and reddish-purple on the violet. It was a great surprise to find this one about to flower among my recent Edrom order. What more could one want at Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you, Glenn - a very fitting Christmas flower for you at the home of a

I can imagine that lovely plant making a (brief) feature on your festive table to delight and amaze the diners. I think it might be too stormy to venture out to see it in a glasshouse!
I've just been hearing about the warnings of wild weather in your area - and goodness knows it's bad enough up here - so I hope your Christmas is not spoiled by weather damage.
Happy Holidays!

Very nice hepatica! This is one of the early blooming varieties and always blooms this time of year. When this hepatica starts to bloom, it begins to feel like hepatica season! Apparently ‘Ten Sei’ (天青) has another name, ‘Dai Setsu Rei’ (大雪嶺) as well. Your ‘Ten Sei’ looks very nice, thanks for showing the beautiful flowers! Merry Christmas to you, too!

A lovely plant Glenn. I see that Edrom have it on special offer - even so, Santa Claus has been very generous! ;)

Nice one, Glenn and best wishes to you. I've only got the usual pyrenaicas in flower at this time, but the promise of lots more ;D
