Local growers Bill & Helen McGregor took the Aberdeen quaich for the best plant in sectoin 2 with Trillium grandiflorum  which also received  a merit certificate. Bill & Helen aslo  won the Brian Bull trophy for class 63 two rock plants distinct.

David Millward received  a merit certificate for his fine Ramonda which had won the top award a week ago in Dunblane. Your correspondent retained the Walker of Portlethen  trophy for most (900) points in section 1, won the Simpson salver for Rhododendron Snow and a  merit certificate  for a dwarf  Enkianthus. This was in the class for Ericaceous  plants other than  Rhododendron . It seems Enkianthus has joined several other  genera in being subsumed into Rhododendron  but that info is not yet in the show schedules.

Thanks for sharing your pictures again Stan, it has been wonderful to see the shows through your eyes and even better to share your company yesterday at the Aberdeen Show where Maggi and I made our first outing since lock down.

Your Forum reports are a great record of the shows through the years.
