SueStephens:
Apologies if you knew this already, but I have just discovered that you can download Norman Deno's works FOC from Scribd.com.

Maggi Young:

These links to Dr Deno's "Seed Germination: Theory and Practice" and the two supplemental books are free downloads at the USDA National Agriculture Library online site. I know this book is out of print and nearly impossible to find. I hope this information is useful.

The books of Norman Deno are in the Public Domain so they are free for download.

Norman Deno carried out germination trials of many species. This  a useful search point for such matters:

Links to Deno's papers  given   in the previous post....
also  see  link to Ontario Rock Garden's Seed Guide

The websites of Kristl Walek and Gabriela Costea are also useful ....

Maggi Young:
In another thread, Karaba added this :

other indications on germination of Artemisia Genepi :

* an other paper from Schwienbacher
* Tom Clothier's archive. This archieve propose also a taxonomic index for Deno's work (I didn't compare with Deno's book and I don't know if it's complete)

Jack Meatcher:
I have a copy of Deno second edition plus the first supplement to the second edition. Don't all rush but I can try to look up individual items if you email me via Messages. You do need to know the codes to work out what is being presented, however.
