Scotland Botanical Conference
« on: October 03, 2012, 08:18:54 PM »
Interested in the botany of Scotland (and the plant life of Tristan da Cuhna)?

Then this conference organised by BSBI and BSS, but which is open to all (and free to attend) is the one for you.

The conference is to be held at SNH Offices, Battleby, Perth on Saturday 3 November.

The welcoming address is to be given by past SRGC President Dr. Ian Bainbridge.

The conference programme can be found at http://www.bsbiscotland.org.uk/Documents%20on-line/SAM%20Flier%202012.doc

Please note closing date of mid October to notify organisers if you wish to attend.

One of the real bonuses of these conferences is being able to peruse the extensive stock of botanical works held by Summerfield Books and I note that they have confirmed their attendance this year.

Reviews of past conferences are attached for general interest:

Yemen, what a country ... Haraz mountains, Socotra, Sana'a, Hadramaut, the empty quarter.... a country of stunning, mind altering beauty...and the friendliest of people.
