SRGC AGM 2012- Venue change!

 SRGC ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Change of Venue for the SRGC Annual General Meeting  November 10th 2012  at 1.00pm
 

Unforeseen circumstances beyond our control have forced a change of venue for the SRGC AGM (which was due to take place at Perth Airport, Scone)

The Annual General Meeting and Grand Picnic will now take place in the SCONE OLD PARISH CHURCH HALL, BURNSIDE, SCONE PH2 6LP.

 

Directions to SCONE OLD PARISH CHURCH HALL, BURNSIDE, SCONE  PH2 6LP

Leave Perth on the A94 road towards Coupar Angus.

Look for a large graveyard on the right of the road as you approach New Scone.

Immediately after the graveyard turn left then sharp left again into Burnside.

There is a burn to the left of the road.

The church and halls are at the end of Burnside along with an eighty-five place car park.

The entrance to Burnside is opposite the Scone Arms, and there are signs to the David Douglas Memorial, which is nearby the church halls.
 
The ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of the SRGC will now be held in the Scone Old Parish Chrch Hall, Scone on Saturday 10 November 2012 at 1.00 pm.
 
 

PROGRAMME

12.00 pm Grand Picnic

(You bring the food, we provide the wine, juice, tea and coffee.)

1.00 pm Annual General Meeting

SHORT BREAK

2.00 pm (approx) The Clark Memorial Lecture

3.00 pm (approx) Tea and biscuits

There will also be:

A non-competitive display of plants

A  members' 50/50 plant sale

The second photographic/art competition of the year

Books for sale

Please bring along plenty of plants for the display and/or sale as well as entries for the photographic/art competition.

Re: Directions to the new AGM venue:  The entrance to Burnside is opposite the Scone Arms, and there are signs to the David Douglas Memorial, which is nearby, so that my be helpful to those seeking to attend the AGM.

The Clark Memorial Lecture at the AGM  will be given  by Stan da Prato.
I will post the subject of Stan's talk as soon as possible.

SRGC AGM 2012

The ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of the SRGC was  held  on Saturday 10 November 2012.

 Dr Carole Bainbridge was elected for a three year term of office as SRGC President.

Congratulations to President Carole.

 The following office bearers were re-elected:
Treasurer Dr P Anderson
Secretary Mrs C Shaw
Subscription Secretary Ms C Boulby
Editor Prof. A Edwards
Publicity Manager Mr A J Leven
Chairman of Web Committee Mr I Young
Publications Manager Mr D Shaw

Bob Moore and Ian Christie were elected as Ordinary Members of Council.




Here is a photo of President Carole and husband Ian, shown at the Blackpool Show in 2008 when they won a Farrer Medal  with  Corydalis popovii
