Clivia miniata seed
« on: March 11, 2012, 09:18:33 PM »
Sorry another exotic!
I found my 4 larger Clivia plants of various sizes all seem to be in bud under the frost free greenhouse staging. Amongst them so far I have found 10 fresh seed, from last years flowers, which take a year to ripen. Anyone interested? They are almost certainly from the usual orange form, not the yellow. Next year may have yellow seed as I have 3 flower stems of that form almost colouring.
I just wish the largest plant was not so heavy. I have resorted to using the stems on that plant as cut flowers to save my back. It is now a permanent resident in the corner on the ground.
