Unknown mini insect
« on: February 03, 2012, 02:50:05 PM »
Hi, just noticed a few tiny little things moving on a house plant and decided to capture the beasts. This was not an easy task as they are only 2mm at most in length. Only saw a few of them and managed to get a shot under a microscope. It's not moving due to the insecticide!

Any idea what it is?

Globular Springtail - looking at various images online I can confirm this is the little pest in question. Many thanks as I'd never heard of them before.

Do you grow any Pinguiculas? Maybe they would like them for morning tea. ;D (But fresh, not insecticided.)
