Iris chrysographes--good dark forms

Am looking for someone who has a colony of a good black form of this & willing to send me their oodles of seed in exchange for whatever you might find on my list at gardensnorth.com

Kristl,

Unfortunately, you have left it a bit too late for my seed. I didn't think anybody would want them and dead-headed after the flowers were over. I have two good forms, 'Inchriach' and one I prefer which I grew from seed from China.

You could remind me earlier next year and I could leave the seeds develop and hold them for you.

Hi Kristl,
Just like Paddy I didn't allow the seed pods to develop but can do next year if you can wait that long.
The photo is a cultivar named 'Kew Black' if this is what you are looking for.

I'm not as tidy as all these men and have seed pods developing on two different varieties and will happily send you a fair quantity of each.  One is almost black and I'll consult the friend who gave it to me to try to name the variety.  The other is a VERY dark blue and somewhere in my old lists I might be able to track down the name for this as well.  Liz

Iris chrysographes 'black form' and 'Kew Black' are flowering .Do you want me to let them develop seed? If you do let me know or I will be dead heading them soon. ;)
