Waterperry Saxifrage Open Weekend

26/27 March 2011      11.00am – 4.00pm. Open to all

L E C T U R E S

Latest research into  Saxifragaceae

On Saturday 26th, Dr Richard Gornall, Senior Lecturer and Director of the Botanic Garden at Leicester University, will give a lecture on the latest research into Saxifragaceae.

2.00pm in the Lecture Room.

Admission free.

Pyrenean Saxifrages

On Sunday 27th, Tim Roberts will give a lecture on Saxifrages and other alpines from over ten years of visiting these mountains.

2.00pm in the Lecture Room. Admission free.



The Waterperry Saxifraga Garden holds the Plant Heritage

National Collection of Kabschia Saxifragas.

No no no Maggi my garden isn't big enough for all these plants!!

I think this is one for the diary as I love Saxifrages and only own 1 at the moment  ??? but they do have some nice ones :P

A reminder of this event...  Adrian Young tells me everyone is welcome to visit and hear the lectures and there will be super Saxes for sale too...

The dates for the Sax. Open Weekend are 26/27 March. I went a couple of years ago and well worth seeing. Hope they have improved the labelling a bit though!

Sax. oppositifolia Florissa with an unusual flower form
