I have the same problem with seeds from SRGC seedex 2017. Also first flowers this year and the first stem has 4 flowers which seems too much for fabrei (it's a lot even for nicaeensis). Style seems not to fit also but i didn't count the ribs on the tepal (data from a paper on the two species). I thought that it was seeds from Hans but apparently no and misidentified.

Sorry Yvain ...

But I would never go to the location and collecting seeds for a seed exchange
The other point is it is very different when is flowering time and when the seeds ripe ...there is big variation of few weeks
Every year is different !
I have in meantime visit my location 7 times !!!
Sometimes I was too early ...sometimes I was too late ( and later in year there is no chance when the leaves are dry )
P.E. in this year I found only two open flowers ...all others was still in buds
The people from which we hire a small house told us the March was unusual warm ...but the April was very cold

few weeks ago i revisited an other area where i also found few Acis, no fire in this part. There're now 11 areas known to host this species, 4 new zones where found this spring. Good news!
