Thanks Hans. However, I believe you grow yours in the open garden. Mine are permanently under glass (plastic) which probably helps.

now after some weeks of cold and not any sun we have here a little spring  :D

So I could now make some pics today from my Sternbergia fischeriana

I have have to say a big "Thank You" to a nice person on this forum - not only for the bulbs ...
Some very good advices how to grow this bulbs was very helpfull ( I have also a other pot with St. fischeriana but it has flowerd only one time before some years ....)
The "secret" for this plants are really deep pots ( I grow it in a pot for roses : 12 x 12 x 20)
Maybe I should repot my St. candida also in such a pot in summer ....

congratulations! A really nice Sternbergia and you can see really differences between S.fisheriana and other Sternbergias.

Gerry and Hans,

It is a pleasure to see such nice and well grown candida and fischeriana at this time of year!
You have given us a good start of the Sternbergia season.
I have candida in buds  :), but the light level in my green house is too low so the flower stalks are rather long.
I will post pictures in a few days. My fischeriana has only leaves  :(. I hope for flowers next year.

Wow, those Sternbergia candida are amazing.  I've tried a bulb once, rotted it out before it ever did anything, and have never been game to try it again. ::)  I didn't realise they were perfumed as well.  That clump of Gerry's is so beautiful.

Congrats to Hans J on flowering the fischeriana!  Well done. 8)
