Janis' Crocus book
« on: February 13, 2011, 01:18:10 PM »
Not pleasant reason to start such topic, but I must to do it.

Today I suddenly found serious mistake in my book, really not misinformation but during producing process after my last revision of text part, during further processing were lost few lines of text, making key for C. biflorus subsp. incomplete. Of course, reading the text will be no problems to identify omitted subsp., but...

So, please add on page 123 at start of key following lines:

Just found serious mistake in book. On page 123 are lost starting lines of key (here in bold):

1. Throat of perianth without yellow

      2. Flowers with exterior of outer segments almost entirely violet ............................subsp. alexandri

      2. Flowers pale sky blue, rarely with very diffuse markings or stripes on outside ........subsp. caelestis

      2. Flowers entire white, sometimes with bluish perianth tube ..................................subsp. weldenii

May be I didn't noted that during reading of proofs, but I checked all my variants on my computer and revisions after editing at Timber Press - those lines exist. They disappear in last phase of processing.

Pity and - sorry.
