Altitude zone vs. hardiness zone

Please can anyone direct me to information comparing orchid hardiness in meters of altitude to USDA hardiness zones or minimum temperatures?  I am a reading a book on native orchids in China and it gives all of the habitat ranges in meters.  Thanks
