Yemen, what a country ... Haraz mountains, Socotra, Sana'a, Hadramaut, the empty quarter.... a country of stunning, mind altering beauty...and the friendliest of people.

Those troughs in your sneak preview look great.

Have you used so many troughs in a display before, or is it new?

Unfortunately Harrogate is too far for me to travel.

I am looking forward to the Harrogate Show, we are going as part of a weekend coach tour, I just hope we have long enough at the show to see everything 8)
We also get to visit Doddington Hall on Friday, Harlow Carr ;D, Anne Wright ;D  and Stillingfleet nursery, on the way home we go to the wonderful York Gate and some place called Barnsdale.

Ah, well it's a hard life ;)

Rob, many thanks for the pix.... the two displays look grand.... hope the show is a great success for you and for Cathy and Terry.  8)

I'll dig out my Forumist badge that John Dower kindly made for those at the Discussion Weekend, hope you will all make yourselves known.  And if it's lunchtime and you find us all adorning the frontage of one of the Bank buildings don't wthink you have encountered a day trip out for the local Lunatic Assylum just come and join us for a bite and a drink.

You'll have to be quick, the northeast contingent tend to hit the sales tables pretty hard after a refreshing bacon butty  :P

Hi
Arrived back from Harrogate last night. Excellent show. Sorry no photos as I left my camera in the car.

Edrom won 'Best in Show' with a wonderful display of woodland plants.

My wallet was somewhat light as I left.

Long drive for you Graham.
Great news about Edrom.... many congratulations to them for that success.... the Edrom medal record continues apace, eh?
There cannot be too many nurseries which have had medal success at shows like Harrogate under three different leaderships.
The Edrom winning streak began with Alec Duguid, exhibiting for the owners Misses Logan Home, went on with Jim Jermyn and now these last few years with Cathy and Terry the successes are still coming... a most enviable history for the nursery. 8)

First few images from Harrogate Show today 24th April ... many congratulations to all concerned.
The Farrer Medal winner was Alan Furness with a superb Rhodothamnus sessilifolius, another Farrer for the maestro from Hexham.

The Pudsey Pig contingent got in some light training with their annual Harrogate picnic - some scenes from the culinary extravaganza.
A magnificent contribution to the festivities was unveiled by Mandy McLoughlin - a chocolate and icing miniature garden created to celebrate the birthdays of John and Clare Dower and other Pudsey Piglets.
